"Aortic valve replacement and one bypass with full sternotomy done at Rex in Raleigh. Dr Landvater was attentive and answered all questions. The surgery went very well with the time under anesthesia much less than expected. Pre and post op management by him and his team was very good. I did not need more than a few ibuprofen in the hospital and nothing at home. I would recommend Dr Landvater to anyone needing surgery. He and the Rex team were just what I needed."

"Dr. Landvator is a highly competent heart surgeon. He obtained good results for me despite some complicating conditions. I liked his "bedside manner." He explained the procedure quite well in advance. He also provided me with a good understanding of the risks involved. After the procedure was completed he kept me up-to-date on his view of my progress. In sum, I highly recommend Dr. Landvator as a well-trained, highly knowledgeable, and very able heart surgeon."

"I can't tell you how awesome Dr. Lance Landavater is. The surgery was expected to take 6 hours, he was done in 4. Not only did he replace the valve, he also reduced the size of the aorta. He is incredibly intelligent and matter-of-fact. Dr. Landvater's bedside manner was much better after the surgery than before, but that didn't bother me so much. After the surgery was over, I realized his pointedness prior to the surgery balanced the high levels of emotion felt by me and my husband. By the way, my husband was the patient. :) "
